On the day of your surgery, Dr. Urzola will prescribe a combination of antibiotics (Penicillin with Clavulanic Acid), anti-inflammatories (Dexketoprofen) and painkillers (Acetaminophen). We have a Pharmacy on the ground floor of our building and the medication will cost less than $100.
Once you finish the prescription medication, there’s no necessity to take a second round. No, we can only prescribe in Costa Rica.
If the healing and recovery go beyond the regular time frame, indications will appear while you’re inCosta Rica and Dr. Urzola will create a second prescription to allow you to continue the treatment even after you’ve already returned home. We will request you to give us a daily update until you’re fully recovered.

Once you receive your permanent arches, we recommend annual maintenance. This involves taking a 3D Scan to check on your implants, as well as the removal, cleaning and reattachment of your arches. We charge $200 for this procedure; however, you should be able to find a local Specialist who can do this for you. After the surgery, we will provide you with Pre and Post-Surgical 3D Scans and your Dental Implant Specifications.
Yes, it would be highly recommended to continue the Soft Diet until the fourth month to give your implants the best possible chance to fully osseointegrate (fuse) into your jaw bones. A gradual progression would be ideal.
